Jan 2006]: "The Wesmill tree had two daughters of Charles and Elizabeth Cathleen named Mary both b 1905, I'm assuming this was an error."

Marriage

RL 21/6/07: (i) 'Fragment 6' has a note (presumably ref'ce the marriag e) that "Charles jumped ship".

(ii) The following appeared among notes to the previous HTML version of this tree:

"Data from the NZ BMDs which could be related to the family of Charles LOVELOCK (b 1881/82) and Elizabeth Cathleen [sic] WALKER:

This death could be that of son Frederick b. 1907, but there's no age to confirm this: 1985 LOVELOCK Frederick Charles 8744 Death Dunedin

This birth could be another child of Charles and Elizabeth Cathleen: 1904 LOVELOCK Charles William 1146 Birth Dunedin March"

26/6/07: James, in response to my raising various queries/changes concerning Catherine/Cathleen and family, cited an earlier email he'd sent to Nigel, Graham and Robert "a few months after Nigel had proposed the connection between the (then embryonic) Hants-to-Hereford tree and the Wesmill tree" [I assume, therefore, c. Jan 2006]; the two BMDs above were mentioned in the message as not having been entered in the data "since they're somewhat uncertain".

Marriage

RL 16/6/07: RL 16/6/06: above text taken from website entry rather than being put in 'usual' (GRO) format. NZ BMDs on Lovelock website only include Charles; we have specific date and name of spouse (albeit as Elizabeth Cathleen) from 'Fragment 6'.

Shared note

RL 16/6/07: 'Fragment 6' has her second name as Cathleen an d this was previously entered in the database; however, the cited NZ death registration has Catherine. Either could involve a 'typo', but I've assumed the official record has been correctly transcribed and have given it priority - i.e. changed the second given name displayed. 'Fragment 6' also, curiously, gives her dob as 1913 - 11 years after her marriage and the birth of at least 4 children; perhaps 'd 1913' was intended, but then what of the birth of son George Henry in 1915? - and anyway we have a death record in 1950.

26/6/07: James, in response to my raising these and other queries/changes concerning Catherine/Cathleen and family, cited an earlier email he'd sent to Nigel, Graham and Robert "a few months after Nigel had proposed the connection between the (then embryonic) Hants-to-Hereford tree and the Wesmill tree" [I assume, therefore, c. Jan 2006]:

"The Wesmill Tree had Elizabeth Cathleen Walker ... ... born 1913, which obviously doesn't square with her date of marriage or birth dates for the children, so I've left this out. ... ... ... Although I'd noted the Catherine/Cathleen discrepancy, I left it as Cathleen (as in the Wesmill tree) but I think you're right that it makes sense to change it to Catherine, since we do have a source record with this name. I think the 1913 date was in the original fragment provided by Gwen/Robert, but it was clearly wrong. We don't even know whether Elizabeth Catherine Walker was born in NZ or emigrated from the UK, so it'll be difficult to track down her birth. I had a quick look on FreeBMD and between 1865 and 1885 I found an Elizabeth Catherine Walker, born 2Q 1867 Hackney RD 1b 414 and another one born 2Q 1869, Teesdale RD 10a 250. There was also an Elizabeth C Walker b 3Q 1866 Strand RD 1b 516."
