Note

An Obituary on the 'geni.com' website reads:

Obituary 1887

The founders of the Colony are steadily passing away from our midst. Mrs Isaac Lovelock, one of the earliest settlers in the Wellington district, died this morning. Mr and Mrs Lovelock and family were amongst the immigrants who left England in November, 1839, and arrived at Wellington in April, 1840, in the 'Bolton', the first vessel which landed her immigrants on the Wellington beach. Shortly afterwards Mr Lovelock settled in Cuba street, where his family have resided up to the present time. Mr Levi Lovelock, the eldest son, was the first European child born in Wellington. Mr Lovelock died in 1870. Mrs Lovelock leaves two sons and four daughters, thirty-six grandchildren, and twenty-nine great-grand-children. Her eldest daughter, Mrs Collins, and her two sons, Messrs Levi and Isaac Lovelock, reside at Palmerston North.
