Lovelock Reginald William, Junee Cemetery, Presbyterian Section, 21 yrs 11 mths, died 4 Dec 1934

Shared note

Reginald Lovelock caught bronchitis working on a railway line in Sydney during torrential rainstorm. Not married.

According to his obituary, the 'deceased served his apprenticeship in the local running sheds, but developing a weak heart, was put off; later on he was given light work at Parramatta, but recently he contracted a bad attack of influenza, and his medical adviser there advised treatment in the Parramatta hospital; he thought, however, that he would sooner be near his relatives, and accordingly came home last week.

Deceased was a very popular fellow, and was an enthusiast in many branches of sport; it is a coincidence that his father died about four years ago from a heart trouble something similar to that which carried off Reg.'

'He was fond of tennis and was a grandson of the late Mr William Sterry, who was in business in Wagga many years ago.'
