Note | An item in the Kentish Weekly Post or Canterbury Journal of 15 October 1819 states 'On Tuesday last an Inquest was held at East Farleigh, before J.Ottaway, esq. Coroner, on the body of John Lovelock, aged 16 (sic), who fell out of a walnut-tree on the preceding Saturday, and fractured his skull so dreadfully that his brains were scattered on the ground. He survived the accident only three hours. Verdict - Accidental Death.' |
