The above 1799 wedding is the only one of a Thomas Lovelock. The other was in 1777, between Richard Lovelock of Shipton Moyne and Mary White, at Hankerton, which unfortunately is in Wiltshire, so the registers are not at Gloucester. These may be the parents of Thomas, who was born c. 1778 if the age on his burial entry is correct. Shared note	Was Thomas possibly the son of Richard Lovelock of Shipton Moyne, who married Mary White at Hankerton, Wilts in 1777? Hankerton Marriages Malcolm Lovelock supplied the following marriage: 1777 Sep 15 Richard Lovelock of Shipton Moyne Glos. & Mary White, otp, lic (Note that Sue Lovelock had also recorded this marriage) There is also a baptism at Hankerton, presumably for this couple: The following baptisms are in the LDS Vital Records Baptisms for Hankerton 1605-1838: 1782 Jul 21 William LOVELOCK Father: Richard LOVELOCK Mother: Mary However. we do not have a baptism record for Thomas at Hankerton. Steve Tanner writes (email 20 May 2001): IGI has a solitary [in Glos?] Thomas born abt 1773 in Dowdeswell,but that is about 20 miles north, and there is no proven link.
