Memorandum of Agreement made this thirtieth day of December One thousand eight hundred and twentysix between Moore Perkins, Gentlemen, of the one part, of the parish of Llantrithyd in the County of Glamorgan and Mr.Richard Davies, farmer, of the sa me County in the parish of Ystradyfodwg of the second part (viz).

The said Moore Perkins doth hereby agree to lett unto the said Richard Davies for the term of three years from the twentyfifth day of March next ensuing the datehereof all those two Messuages farms and lands called and known by the name of Brynwhwth [Brynchwith] and Donandeg in as large and ample a manner as they are now held and occupied by Mr. Llewellyn Rees, farmer, situate in the parish of Landifodog [Llandyfodwg] in the County of Glamorgan., yielding and paying or cause to be paid unto the said Moore Perkins, his heirs or assigns the yearly rent or sum of One Hundred and Thirteen Pounds on every the feast of St.Michael the Archangel, and to pay all manner of taxes and parochial rates that shall fall and become due on or upon the said farms during the term of three years without any allowance from the said Moore Perkins or his assigns for the same. The said Richard Davies doth hereby agree to manage and keep the said farms in tenantable repair at his own expense (viz) Hedging, Ditching, Draining, Walling, as well also the Gates, Bars, Styles be on the said farms and to leave the same in tenantable repair at the expiration of this agreement. Timber to be allowed in the rough towards doing the same. The said Moore Perkins dothhereby agree to keep intenantable repair the two Messuages and all outhouses on or belonging to the said farms on condition that the said Richard Daviesat his own expense doth carry all manner of materials for doing the same when applied to (viz) Timber, Stones, Tyles, Limeetc. The Straw covering or Thatch of the several buildings now covered with the same to be kept in repair by the said Richard Davies as well also the Windows of the several Messuages. It is further agreed between the within named parties that the Stock of Sheep on the ? farms are to be taken to on the twentyfifth day of March next ensuing by the said Richard Davies and to pay or cause to be paid unto the said Moore Perkins his heirs or assigns immediately ten shillings per head for the same the said Stock of Sheep to be returned unto the said Moore Perkins by the said Richard Davies from Three Hundred to four Hundred in number at ten shillings per head when and in case he the said Richard Davies shall quit the said farms. The yearly rent or sum of One Hundred and Thirteen pounds is to be paid by two half yearly payments (viz) Fifty Six pounds ten shillings on every first day of January, and the remaining sum of Fifty Six pounds ten shillings on every the first day of July except on his quitting then and in that case all arrears of rent to be paid in full on the twentyfifth day of March previous to his quitting ["In writing" has been added here and initialed]
