Sacred to the memory of William TURPIN/ of Grove in this parish who departed this life June 24th 1774 aged 78 years/ Also of Mary relict of John LOUGHER/ of Cornelly in the parish of Pyle and daughter/ of William TURPIN who departed/ Dec 6th 1814 aged 73/ Also two children of Edward POWELL & Mary his wife of Slade in the parish of St Brides Major and grandchildren of John & Mary LOUGHER/ William died 26th Feb1828 aged 6 weeks/ Alice died 8 Sept 1830 aged 5 years.

Text: Three people are named in the Will - her granddaughter Mary Shaftesbury Morgan, who receives £200 when she attains the age of 21, her mother, Mary's daughter Elizabeth Morgan, wife of William Morgan, who is named sole executrix and receives the remainder of the personal estate, and Harris Horsley, of Calcutta, who is said to hold the two hundred pounds left to Mary Shaftesbury Morgan. Until Mary attains the age of 21, her mother is directed to receive the interest on the investment to pay for Mary's education.
