Shared note

RL 22/6/07: 21 Feb 07 email to Graham: "Why does the youngest child, bo rn 1891, appear as Mary Amoi C E Lovelock in the tree and Mary Ann E in the 1891?" - I acknowledged that I had viewed the image of the GRO birth entry via BMDIndex as well as the FreeBMD entry, and thus could "answer ... in part": both have 1Q 1891 Lovelock, Mary Amoi C. E., S. Stoneham, ref 2c 44. 22/2/07 GL: "... my logic has been that Enumerators often recorded used names, such as Lizzie for Elizabeth and Fanny for Frances, but where we can determine the proper name from a birth registration, or very occasionally from a marriage entry, then I have used that. In similar vein, Enumerators often recorded Wm instead of William, and we'd certainly not think anyone would ever name their child Wm!"
